Monogatari wa “Begin”

Well, it should be “Began” to correct the sentence. Anyway, I’m not here to write about how to write correct grammar. I am here to write about my story with “Begin”

Don’t say that we are denying JYJ’s past as TVXQ. It’s you that deny JYJ’s present!

I’m so irritated with some comments in this MV. (and many JYJ videos in general)
It has been almost a year after the first official press release from JYJ side about how they are now ex-member of TVXQ.
It’s true that JYJ is from TVXQ as in Jaejoong’s twitter profile. JYJ fans can’t deny that and we won’t deny that neither.
To be honest, you can call me selfish all you want, but I’m not generous enough to support any entity related to SM Entertainment. I don’t want any single cent from my wallet to increase SM Entertainment income. I don’t have that much money to support a company that tries to hinder such talent 3 young guys.
I’m still thankful for the one who truly support all 5 members of TVXQ5 until now because I know that JYJ fans are not strong enough to fill the whole stadium in Thailand.
Believe me, there are lots of great supporters like that here.
Those fantastic fans on my timeline never force me to love all 5 members. They just accept the present.
They simply support 2 different entities, help JYJ on their fan base and support HM in their own way.
Support all 5 doesn’t mean keep saying that JYJ fans have to support HM or HM fans have to support JYJ.
You can called us JYJ stans, called HM fans as HM stans, but you’re not really better than us. You are also TVXQ5 stans.
I don’t beg you to forget the past or give up your hope for the future.
All I hope is you to respect JYJ works as JYJ at the moment.
Respect their present not the name in the past.
Respect them to the name that they already chose by themselves.
.
.
How many time you need to hear Yuchun’s the most important phrase in Unnamed Song Part I “In the end, it’s JYJ” to understand that?
.
How many days, weeks, months, years, you want JYJ stay with their old name instead of promote them and help them build up their name as JYJ?
.
.
Why should JYJ keep help promote the name of TVXQ in their youtube vid now?
.
.
I’ll just quote my own words again and again…
To answer the question about what JYJ fans will do when all 5 members come back together again:
“We will try to see whether we can change our feeling if that happens, but please stay with the present. Today, at the moment, this is JYJ video. Get Out is a track in JYJ’s album. Have you seen the pics inside IN HEAVEN album? There is a sentence “THIS IS JYJ’s ALBUM” and we are proud of that.”

Summary:
Some fans should understand: Nobody is denying their past but some fans keep deny JYJ present as JYJ.
They are not just 3 out of 5 members of the group named “TVXQ” anymore. Now, they are 3 members of a trio called JYJ.
JYJ fans don’t deny the fact that JYJ is from TVXQ. We just love them as JYJ.
We are helping JYJ making the name of JYJ become known & get out of the shadow of the name that somebody else already claimed to keep.
Don’t say we deny JYJ’s past or JYJ’s friends. It’s you that deny JYJ’s present and JYJ existance!”

.

.

Please, LIVE IN THE PRESENT, NOT THE PAST, NOR THE UNKNOWN FUTURE.

My rant on some fandom issues (2) (Individual Fandom, Twitter Effect, C-JeS and SM, etc)

OK I still have work to do, still got many things that I should do but if I don’t get it out, I might have to stay silent forever. lol.
.
.
So here we are…
.
.

– Individual Fandom

I don’t really care if there would be fans who support only 1 member. They might got hook in Junsu’s Musical, Yuchun’s drama, Jaejoong’s drama but don’t really interested in JYJ music and JYJ activities. Well, it would be nice if they could support group activities too. I don’t care as long as they don’t bash another members as useless and don’t drag their bias down.

You might feel that I should forgive those words, but people say their true feeling when they are drunk or mad at something. So I guess I just can’t associate with this kind of people who really think that my bias is useless/ talentless. It’s not about the word spoken out loud but the attitude that speak the ugliness in people heart. I would never said a person is useless. There must be something nice about them that we might not be able to see, but the other can see it through on each individual. To be frank, I’m tired of people trolling coins on the artist when it’s a fan/ fans who do some absurdity.
.
.
Back to the point, I think it’s logical to have seperate thread/blog/site/fanpage for individual members of JYJ. One of my dear friends said what’s the point of dragging people to see something they don’t really interest. Plus, that might create more distaste feeling rather than admiration.

I strongly oppose to the environment that “If you’re a true JYJ fan, you have to support all 3 of them.” Doesn’t it sound so familiar to those who have been through the whole DBSK lawsuit saga? “If you’re a true Cassie, you have to support all 5 of them.” I don’t think that’s healthy for the fandom.

Let me be honest, I can see that JYJ would love to stick together but they might eventually take their own ways and come back as a group as side project rather than their main focus. I foresee more and more individual fans later on.

More than anything, I would rather get people really appreciate JYJ for their music rather than their bond as 3 members in the same group. Hopefully, we don’t have to get through the idea of unbreakable group anymore. Although I agree wholeheartly that in the meantime, all fans should stick together in the way of support JYJ getting through this cockblock and harsh road. Evolution in the fandom is needed.

.
.
.

– Twitter Effect

I guess everyone might get an idea that suddenly, all webboards got less and less posts. I notice that most of my favourite commentors in 2009-2010 become friends in twitter. Soompi got lots of effect. One of the major reason is, of course, because JJ, YC, JS got their twitter account and apparently, it’s where the news can spread fastest.

However, I got 2 major concerns about this.

1) Seems like many good thoughts and criticism just lost on my timeline. (I follow too many people now. lol) I hope it can be shared in blog/thread where people can read when they have free time. If I become busy and can’t read my t-list, I feel as if there is no way to catch up the story and some good comments.

2) Twitter creates many rumours too. It’s very easy to be tricked. One might innocently tweet something from his/her imagination within 140 characters and then people retweet that one as if it’s a fact. There were many cases like that. It is a major concern when people just don’t care to check the source. I used to follow back to one original poster just to find that he said his previous tweet was only his imagination. He didn’t know that people would retweet his messege like crazy and believe it.

Also I notice less and less people in K-Pop general website/board really care and learn enough about JYJ and be able to answer the question about the lawsuit. Not many people would help protect JYJ over there while some antis are passionately convincing newbies and potentially JYJ/TVXQ fans to anti site, seed them with wrong concept over the lawsuit. This is very dangerous but I guess we just have to let people learn about the real JYJ and the real lawsuit. If they are irrational to believe in those rumours, they don’t deserve to be JYJ fans.

To haters – JYJ is going to last longer than other idols in the same generation.

.
.

It has been almost two years since the beginning of JYJ vs SM saga. I still remember the numb that I got after reading the news about the lawsuit on July 31st, 2009. It’s hard to believe at that time that only Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu would file a lawsuit and say goodbye to SM Entertainment for good later on. The path they have deliberately chosen is one of the most roughest path in the K-entertainment history.

.
.

At first, many people believed that nothing would be able to destroy 5 people strong bond and they would eventually come back as DBSK sooner or later. Even JYJ themselves seemed to stuck with this mindset. Then so many things have changed, lots of realities are harsh and hurtful. Fans were waiting to see 5 people on stage together again but everyone noticed something was different during the last period of 5 Tohoshinki’s work in Japan. The feeling when they sang Stand by U many times on Japanese shows are just…awkward. Then 5 Tohoshinki was done…we got a concert from JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN and people started to question their decision even more.

.
.

I was one of those people who was so confused during that time but then I realized that I should follow and do whatever I want, believe in the passion of music and life that I can truly feel. So that I won’t be ashamed of my choice and myself.

.
.

Just like these three guys who chose to do what they did to be able to live and don’t regret for the rest of their life. They make me believe that the road to your dream might be hard but it would worth your life.

.
.

To be honest, 2010 was a painful year for JYJ fans and, of course, JYJ themselves. Although we got some good projects, like Mozart!, Sunao Ni Narenakute, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, JYJ did not shine as JYJ as they supposed to be. They still overshadowed by their past, by their old fans, by their antis who used to be DBSK fans or still be DBSK fans in disguise. Also with more pressure from AVEX in Japan and SM in Korea + some unlucky event like visa issue in the US and fallen roof for their Concert in Seoul, they were unable to fully show their potential. Also, it was hard to not be able to notice that, in some degree, these guys still yearned for their good old days.

.

At that time, even fans could not be sure that JYJ would survive in entertainment industry.

Answer to a question: Why is it inappropriate to shout DBSK in a JYJ concert?

(I posted this in a fan blog who asked me back this question after I replied to her that it was so inappropriate to shout DBSK in JYJ concert anyway.)
.
.

Do you wonder why on the night of 1st April (before the concert), 411 (the local organizer) tweeted wording like “Please shout JYJ to encourage them at the concert”?
.
.

There are several things that local fans didn’t want to share much. But actually, many thing happened especially at the press conference.
.
.

This concert is purely JYJ effort…people should respect that.
.
.

I’m not talking about fans feeling but rather Jaejoong, Yuchun, Junsu’s feeling. I don’t know whether people would understand why Jaejoong and Junsu cried when Thai & Taiwan fans hold the sign of “Beginning Once Again”, why Yoochun cried singing “Unnamed Song”. I can’t claim I understand them neither. But my best guess is that they know that we, fans, are accepting their new beginning. It doesn’t matter how they name themselves. We will accept them as they are, which is at the moment, JYJ.

Rant about JYJ vs AVEX…It’s time to calm down…

Maybe we should calm down a bit more…

I think this news was written based on AVEX announcement and what I gasp from the official announcement from AVEX, it’s C-JeS + ZAC corp. that filed the lawsuit against AVEX in Japan. I think that is the smart move from JYJ and C-JeS.

Why?

What you can see clearly in the past 8 months is that the situation in Japan for JYJ is getting worse and worse. Let’s face it, JYJ can’t work in Japan. Even the charity event, AVEX still claim that they own the rights over JYJ, which is partially true. We should also keep in mind that the lawsuit between JYJ and SM in Korea is far from being settled. Even if the court could conclude the case within this year, SM would file more appeal and drag this case for, at least, another year. By this, AVEX could still claim their rights over JYJ with the old contract they have with Tohoshinki members (all five of them.)

My rant on some fandom issues. (JYJcountry twitter acc, Red Ocean, Old Song)

JYJ (Country, continent) support SM Town

I was pretty concerned about JYJ(Country) twitter account from the beginning. It’s pretty dangerous when it’s come to a fan control a JYJ fan account that represented each country.

For those who said that it’s your personal account. Didn’t you consider being a representative of JYJ fans in their own countries when creating account names? Have you never considered or thought in your mind that by choosing the account name “JYJ (Country/Continent)”, you also hold the responsible for JYJ fanbase in your country/continent?

As a JYJ fans, I would like to ask….if you’re not going to represent JYJ fans in your country, please drop that name…promoting SM Town is not the way to support JYJ. By this, I don’t mean that you have to blaim SM Town or hate any artist or even hate the company. Of course, you can enjoy their music. However, as JYJ(country) account name, you did hold some reponsibility as representative of JYJ fanbase in your country. So if you want to support SM to get more money, please do it in your real personal account, or at least make it clear from the beginning that JYJ(Country/Continent) is your personal account and you have never represented yourselves or don’t have any intention to make this account as a representative of your country or continent.

Singing Old TVXQ/THSK songs.

A fan said that Homin didn’t do their own tour because SM know fans would be upset or HoMin refused to do that, and they don’t have enough songs for their own tour anyway.

LOL

Sorry…did you write that sentence before Music Bank on Friday? Or before SM Town’09 in August last year? Or even SM Town in Japan with Somebody to Love? It’s true that people would deeply hurt if any of them (HM or JYJ) sing TVXQ/THSK old songs created for 5 voices. (I was the first one who created the fuzz in soompi when JaeChun sang “Begin” in Boy Pop Factory in late 2009 even though they used their name as JeJung and YuChun from Tohoshinki and also stated before singing that they found it’s weird to sing that song by only two of them.) But hey, Homin got the whole album right now, they just need a bit of new songs and you can get a concert. Don’t be bullshit about this issue saying that they don’t have enough songs to sing and have to bring up the old song. (Though I didn’t mind if they would do, but don’t even use this as an excuse!)

FACT:  In June 2010, JYJ had Thanksgiving Concert…they got 2 songs from “Colors Melody and Harmony” single for Duo JJ and YC, 3 solo songs of Junsu from “Intoxication” and 3 old songs from T.R.I.C.K. + “Xiahtic”…Heck, they don’t even have songs to sing together as Trio. Did they sing the old “Tohoshinki” songs?

No.

JYJ concert, Red Ocean

To some fake OT5, JYJ fans know exactly that we are JYJ fans. Moreover, we know that those who attend JYJ concert are not only JYJ fans but also some real lovely cassies/OT5 who really love the members. It doesn’t even matter what you would like to call yourselves but we know what we want…WE WANT TO SUPPORT JAEJOONG, YUCHUN, JUNSU. Do you see anything wrong with doing the red ocean to support them? Just like the petition for JYJ, you make fun about it, fine. Don’t even call yourselves OT5/Cassiopeia for 5 members! Call yourselves a new cassie who support TVXQ(2) then.

To some dear JYJ fans,

it doesn’t really necessary to jump on every one who criticized JYJ or JYJ news. I also observed more and more radical comment about Homin. I saw some old JYJ supporters got criticized harshly when they posted their own sincere comment on a news. Even it’s harsh, you got a better choice by reply with your logical and rational comment. Maybe we could have different stance from each others but we can still live in the same fandom, love the same person and do as much as we can to create a good environment for JYJ fans and some lovely OT5.

Always Keep The Faith (Super old issue)

Yoochun personal motto, arise since Rising Sun era. you can see his signature in Rising Sun album written along with this phrase. The meaning is always keep the faith in his own capability. Fans, just like me, thought it was cool and should be used as in term of “Always Keep The Faith that one day five of them would come back together/ nothing would be able to destroy their friendship”. That’s why the motto meaning was disort.

2 Years and 3 months of absence from Music Activities

Homin fans, or even some OT5 who can’t do the maths, please don’t even there to bring this number up again. You’ll look pathetic. It’s true only when you said 2 Years and 3 months “from the latest Korean comeback as singers”. Do your math straight, their last activities as Dong Bang Shin Ki in Korea, it’s in 29th Decemeber 2008. Then they did activities as Tohoshinki until 1st January 2010. Do you really want to see the full list of what HM has done in 2010???

Now, it’s not even 2 years from the lawsuit start date! and now you blame it on JYJ for 2 years and 3 months of Homin absense from singing in Korea???

(TBC)

Honest Post about JYJ’s vs TVXQ act I’s music

This post prompted from a honest comment in JYJ3.
(From a JYJ fan who learned about TVXQ after she knew JYJ.)

I read a lot of JYJ fans who just get to know them as JYJ and learn about TVXQ later on. Most of them cannot connected to TVXQ act I anymore. (Well, some still does.)

My best guess as someone who has observe them from the time they were active as a part of TVXQ…I would say the musical and artistic level of JYJ is far different from TVXQ act 1. All the struggle and freedom that JYJ have tasted over the past 2 years formed and forced them into another level in order to survive in the industry. That is JYJ greatest advancement and I think that’s why many JYJ fans found them appealing and so special, sometimes even more than TVXQ act I.

JYJ’s songs have it all in term of sincerity and emotion. You can feel that they did throw their feeling into their songs, especially when they performing live on stage, singing their own-composed/written song.

Frankly, I used to doubt whether JYJ could success in term of harmonizing and performing as much as TVXQ act I level. I thought that, well, never mind…JYJ is JYJ, no way that they would be able to harmonized as nice as when they had 5 voices together.

But they did prove me wrong.

[Fanaccount] 16 Days of Kim Jaejoong, 8 Days of Kim Junsu, 6 Days of Park Yuchun…in Thailand [Part2]

WARNING: If you are some OT5, or a fan who said you would like to see YH and CM sing “In Heaven” and want to shout “DBSK” at “JYJ” concert or see nothing wrong doing so. Please do not read this fanaccount.

(I do love some OT5 fans, many of them, especially in Thailand are the real OT5 who want to support 5 members as JYJ and DBSK and they know what they should do in JYJ concert. Just support them as JYJ. I feel so grateful to these OT5 fans. Really.)

Since there are lots of fanaccount out there that talked about the detail of concert, I would mostly write about my own feeling toward this concert…some might be too critical for some fans.
Let’s go to my memories of 2 days JYJ world Tour Concert in Bangkok

[Fanaccount] 16 Days of Kim Jaejoong, 8 Days of Kim Junsu, 6 Days of Park Yuchun…in Thailand [Part1]

PART1: BEFORE CONCERT

If someone told me at the beginning of March that we would be able to host these 3 guys in Thailand more than 4 days, I would not believe them.

We knew that JYJ would have 2 rounds concert in Bangkok but we didn’t know that they would stay here so long…long enough to make me feel as if they are living here for real.
